It’s in a very rural town, where most of the people there are farmers, or fishermen. At about 25 meters, I see a man, in a casual suit, briefcase in one hand, and a half-finished bottle of extra-potent Chinese liquor in the other. For those not in-the-know, the clear, awful-smelling elixir, often touting an alcohol percentage hovering between 60 and 70 percent, is called baijo, and that is what Leisure Suit Larry was carrying with him, for everyone to see.</p> <p>At about 10 meters, our eyes met. His eyes were glossy and lost. One of them seemed to have a mind of it&#8217;s own. About 3 paces later, he stops dead, and stares at me in disbelief. It startled me, and I stopped too. He took another good look at me, then down at his bottle, and shook his head so violently that he convinced himself that what he was seeing couldn’t be real. No foreigner would be wandering around a rural farming town by himself! Impossible. I am surely too drunk, and I am seeing things.
